CITIGRASS is proud to announce the release of our new CD, "ONE HIT WONDERIN'"
You've seen the legendary CITIGRASS live shows! And you know you've been WONDERIN' how to get a hold of those great songs you've seen CITIGRASS play live.
"ONE HIT WONDERIN" is the answer to your quest: A whole CD full of our most raucous, beatiful and irreverent CITIGRASS cover material. "ONE HIT WONDERIN" spans the wealth of citigrass live material with such varied treasure's as Old Crowe Medicine Show's Wagon Wheel and the Jamband favorites: I know you Rider and Midnight Rider all the way to the dance hits, Thong Song and I'm so Excited. And of course, there's burnin' bluegrass numbers like Little Maggie and How Mountain Girls can love. And who can forget the timeless Norweigian video pop classic, Aha's: Take on me. We here at Citigrass Central know you haven't forgotten.
This music is a long-fought labor of love for Citigrass. The bandmembers' goal when playing songs made famous by other artists, is to always do justice to the material. To play famous songs that we love in a new way we find compelling. And of course, everything is more than a bit grassed up. Expect Fiery Fiddle, Blazing Banjo, Dominating Dobro, Malevolent Mandolin. All with an extremely heavy helping of Monster Harmonized Rich and Rowdy Vocals. In other words, another day with Citigrass!
